Choose a fiction book from the list on pages 218-219, 154-155 or 302-303 in your literature book.

Read it and write a four paragraph essay explaining how the main character is a dynamic character. A dynamic character is one who grows mentally or emotionally in a story. He or she learns a valuable lesson or realizes something about his or her life by the end of the story.

In the first paragraph, write an introduction and a topic sentence mentioning the dynamic aspect of his or her character.

In the second paragraph, name and explain his/her character at the beginning of the story using a Jane Schaffer paragraph format.

In the third paragraph name and explain how the character matures or learns something using a Jane Schaffer paragraph format.

In the fourth paragraph, write a concluding sentence and a zinger. Make sure you mention the idea of a dynamic character.
